Reverse racism is real. Racial oppression was, and is real.

You kind of lost all credibility here when saying, in discussing America and spheres of influence of Europe/places with a history of European colonization, that reverse racism is real. It’s not. A white person can experience prejudice on an individual level, but none of it will be societal or institutional racism.

The thing is though, I kinda feel sorry for her. :\ She’s receiving all this snark and horrible backlash and people angrily, furiously telling her to “GO FUCKING EDUCATE YOURSELF, STUPID.”

People tend to do that when a white person schmoodles a black person and then tells them they’re fucking ignorant. Just listen to her argument. Racism doesn’t exist because race doesn’t exist. Yet, when you attack me, you are being racist. It’s self contradictory and it betrays a lack of knowledge. 

And the thing is, she would, if people would just explain things to her properly and calmly, without all the righteous fury. :\ Isn’t it funny? People judging and cursing another person for not knowing things? It’s not the job of a PoC to educate a white girl. Also, you skim over how her argument is basically you’re fucking ignorant and you claim there’s no such thing as reverse racism. Therefore racism exists. Her whole video is chock full with ad hominem but somehow when she says it, it’s OK.

Sometimes Tumblr’s “Social Justice Squad” need to lay off the anger first. Ignorance is a problem, yes - but it’s also something that can be easily and quickly remedied if people just aren’t so angry about it. :\

Ignorant people who are butthurt will most likely not listen to you and support your cause.

/unpopular opinion

This isn’t even about social justice. Tumblr’s social justice community is pure toxic in many aspects because a lot of them are people just like the one in the video. They come from positions of power and when called out fail to recognize it while simultaneously immersing themselves in a ideology which deals with critically recognizing and dealing with unfair positions of power. 

Not surprisingly, this girl’s whole video is exactly that.
